A taxi driver, Seyi Olaitan has been allegedly accused of raping a girl and some other victims on Wednesday, He was caught in the act and also in possession of charm in his pocket.
The mother of the minor, Mummy Quadri said “I was washing clothes this morning in my compound when I noticed one of my kids -male was being sent an errand by the accused. No sooner, was she alerted by a recharge card seller in their house that the alleged Seyi, was sleeping with her little girl – Karimo for the second time and that she had caught him a week ago with another minor in the act but he denied it, and she feared reporting the incident to the girl’s mother.”
The victim’s mother quickly hurried to the scene where the accused man was found with her kid on his lap outside a wine seller’s shop. She raised an alarm, but Seyi denied having carnal knowledge of the little girl, where as semen was found all over the girl’s private part and lap with her skirt overly raised while she was found on the accused lap.
The recharge card seller confirmed this was the second time she caught him. The accused was said to be in possession of charms which he used to carry out the act, they were found in his pocket. The victim’s mother reported the case to some residents in Olodo-Ibadan who aired the video interrogation.
The accused man, Seyi Olaitan is married with two kids – Festus and David. He is a taxi driver and has denied sleeping with the little girl- Karimo and the other victims. He claimed finding the girl around him as at that time was a coincidence.
The Victim’s mother has been asked to report the case to the nearest police station where further investigation would be carried out and that the minor be taken to a hospital, so that laboratory tests can be carried out on the semen found on her body.
