Petrol tanker explodes, seven person’s were to death in Delta State (photos)

Petroleum products exploded along the Warri-Benin expressway and no fewer than seven persons were burnt to death on Wednesday, July 22.

The Spokeman of the Delta State Police Command, DSP Onome Onowakpoyeya, said “The driver of the truck was trying to maneuver a bad spot when it fell. The ruck exploded when residents of the area rushed to the scene to scoop fuel.”

She added that officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and security agencies were at the scene to assist in evacuating the corpses and rushed other injured persons to a nearby hospital in Ighara Community
