I will tell you the truth beloved; we have entered a season in the modern world where spiritual warfare is becoming more “technical”.
There’s a titanic battle of the ages going in this hour. It is not the old folklore of assuming a Satanic monster with two horns and a long tail in the realm of imagination.
In this hour, the evil one, knowing that his time is short, is doing everything possible to undermine the work of God, but on the other hand, the Holy Spirit, in a counter offensive operation, is raising the glorious Church.
Many things going on in our world today are revealing. The storms and windy tempests blowing boisterously on the landscape of time have really come to reveal our “true level”; not our assumed status or position.
And this attack is compounded in that it has assumed an unprecedented dimension whereby many people today subconsciously cave in to Satanic pressure to question the constancy of the Faith in relation to their exposure in the world.
Beloved, make no mistake about it; this spiritual warfare is such a technical one that it has created divides and dissensions within the camps of the saints.
Those who appear to stand up for the true articles of our Faith are seen as extremists and those who repose confidence in their education and exposure are seen as enemies.
For instance, I doubt if any global event or phenomenon in our recent history has ever polarized the camps of the saints like the outbreak of Corona Virus Disease.
Many narratives have been put up here (on social media space), some with tones of civility while many others with very insensitive undertones.
Today, the devil is promoting secularism across all strata of society, especially in the Western world.
Millions of people just believe unconsciously that Christianity doesn’t work; we should just look for an alternative.
Some believe that prayer doesn’t work, and so we should resort to “self help” while handling the challenges of the age.
And today, when you speak or pray in tongues for hours, you’re seen as a religious bigot.
The marriage institution is also under heavy attack today because people just feel that Biblical instructions on Marriage are arhaic and anachronistic.
So many things are happening today beloved. Spiritual warfare on a global scale has assumed the dimension of a collision course between INTELLECTUALISM and THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST.
Today, we’re talking about a face-off between SECULARISM and CHRISTIAN TESTIMONY.
And this is so pervasive that today, people are “ASHAMED” to talk about Jesus Christ.
People are ashamed to promote their FAITH above their EDUCATION or SOCIAL AFFILIATIONS.
God forbid that we come to a point where we become ashamed of that old rugged Cross which is the emblem of our eternal salvation.
It’s still the same OLD RUGGED CROSS, and my education, exposure, connections, social networks, or professional acumen can never undermine its efficacy.
For the records, I never said that education is not expedient. No No No. I never said that civilization is an hogwash. No No No. I never said that exposure and professionalism are valueless. No No No!
If that’s your thinking, then you miss the whole “gist” here. You see, you went to school for a purpose.
You’re educated to add value to humanity. Your exposure and professionalism is A BIG PLUS to the Kingdom of God and to humanity.
What I’m saying here is that as a child of God, all of those are to COMPLEMENT your Christian stand; they’re not to serve as a REPLACEMENT for your FAITH.
A wise Christian does not allow his education, exposure, civilization or professionalism to take him from the Faith. Your FAITH is key, pivotal and paramount!
And may I quickly drop this; there comes a time when you have to draw the line.
That’s when your education goes against the teachings of the Bible. Which one will you go with? THE BIBLE! That’s simple as ABC!
Truth is that a time comes in our lives that our education, civilization, exposure or professional emphasis challenge the morality of the Bible, and at such times compromise is not the answer; we must maintain our stand as Christians.
As a child of God, your guiding principle and philosophy should be:
- I’m a Christian before am a Pastor.
- I’m a Christian before am a Doctor.
- I’m a Christian before am a Nurse.
- I’m a Christian before am a Lawyer.
- I’m a Christian before am an Engineer.
- I’m a Christian before am an Architect.
- I’m a Christian before am a Politician.
- I’m a Christian before am a Pharmacist.
- I’m a Christian before am an Educationist.
- I’m a Christian before am an artisan.
- I’m a Christian before am a Scientist.
- I’m a Christian before am a Professional.
- The list goes on and on!!!
When you’re guided by this principle, you will not fall victim of the end-time spiritual warfare that the enemy is fronting and orchestrating.
The testimony of Jesus Christ must come first in everything that we do. We can’t be ashamed of the Name of Christ because that’s our Stronghold, and there’s nothing else to fall back on.
To set the record straight, I don’t belong to the category of Christians who don’t believe in science or medicine.
I believe in science. I believe in medicine. I believe in technology. I believe in education and what have you.
But I will NEVER promote any of those above MY CHRISTIAN TESTIMONY.
I am first a CHRISTIAN before am a SOCIOLOGIST and an ANTROPOLOGIST.
I am first a CHRISTIAN before am a PASTOR or a MAN OF GOD.
And if I can tell you this for free friends; Satan is out there to make you ashamed of BEING A CHRISTIAN.
He wants to sponsor and promote a mindset that is anti-christian or anti-christ in the modern world, and guess what; it’s not a new strategy. It’s captured in the New Testament.
The Apostle Paul, writing to the Corinthian Christians, noted:
2 CORINTHIANS 10:3-5
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) note
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
That’s REAL SPIRITUAL WARFARE. We must always endeavour to cast down imaginations and thinking patterns that oppose the veracity of God’s Word and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
These are not normal times beloved. The Lord Jesus once asked that when He comes back, shall He find FAITH on the earth.
LUKE 18:8
I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, SHALL HE FIND FAITH ON THE EARTH?
It’s for us to ponder friends. This singular verse tells us that prior to the Coming of Christ, the subject of FAITH will come under the vicious and ruthless attack of the enemy, and we’re already seeing that in a Covid-19 world.
Now in passing, concerning the woman doctor who said she found the cure for Covid-19, medical professionals are already handling that and that’s pretty good.
I believe in due process. I believe in 1 Corinthians 14:40. But I WILL NEVER ACCEPT any idea that drags the Name of Christ afoot or aground or calls out Christianity because the beloved woman is a Pastor.
I WILL NEVER ACCEPT THAT. We can do better. We can set records straight without attacking THE FAITH or other CHRISTIANS simply because people have a motive for Corona Virus to be wiped off the face of the earth.
We need to be very careful! The Name of Christ is too precious to toy with. The Church of Christ was purchased by Christ’s blood – Acts 20:28. And the hope of our calling cannot be compared to anything in this world.
Therefore deploy your education, expertise, civilization and professional acumen, but above all, LET YOUR CHRISTIAN TESTIMONY BE FIRST AND NEVER BE ASHAMED OF THE NAME OF CHRIST.
Let God be true and every man a lair – Rm.3:4.
