#14thHeadies – BurnaBoy, Naira Marley disappoint fans as Fireboy, Wizkid bags the awards

The 14th edition of the Nigerian Awards music show, The Headies is over, but what happened during the show still makes headlines, from the artistes who won big to the ones who did not get any award, see the highlight

Virtual Award Show

The 14th Edition of the Headies occurred, even as Coronavirus is still a big issue around the world. Limited people were allowed into the showroom, while other people joined virtually.

Artistes like Master Kg who sang the hit song Jerusalema, did virtual performance, while other artistes like fireboy, chike, Joeboy, Dj Neptune and Laycon performed live at the Show.

The organisers also present the awards to winners Live at the show.

Big Winners !

Fireboy Dml definitely bags the biggest winner of the 14th Edition of the show, the artiste won four awards from four different categories. Fire boy won best R&B single, Best R&B Album, Best Pop Awards and Best revelation that made him the artiste with the most awards.

Wizkid was also one of the big winners of the Night, He won two categories (Artiste of the Year and Viewers Choice Award)

While DJ Neptune won two awards with his “Nobody”.


Many people expect that the race of the artiste of the year would be between wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy, but wizkid claimed that title.

Also, Burna Boy got nominations in two categories – Artistes of the year and Album of the year, but win none !

Some people also expect Naira marley to win the best street Hop category but Mayorkun won the category.

People who followed the show have something to say too as the stream suffers interuptions severally and people could not follow the show Squarely.
