

The governments of the states of Osun and Oyo met in Ibadan on Thursday to resolve the border dispute between them.
The Deputy Governors of both states, Alhaji Rauf Okaniyan (Oyo) and Benedict Alabi (Osun) headed the delegation from their respective states.
The two urged the residents of the border communities to always live in peace with one another, and the delegates of both states decided to end crisis and violent clashes between the residents of the Surulere Local Government Area of Oyo and those of Olorunda Local Area of Osun State.
Olaniyan called on all affected local government councils and the respective traditional institutions of the border communities to continue to ensure peaceful coexistence between themselves.
