Shocking images have surfaced online showing an Afghan police chief blindfolded and on his knees just before he was executed by Taliban fighters.
The video, circulated on the Internet, appears to show General Haji Mullah Achakzai in handcuffs while two allegedly militant men have a valid argument.

The police chief awaits his fate, a man approaches with a pistol shot him, then he remains motionless. The 60-year-old police chief, a former commandant of Badghis province, is said to have been arrested by the Taliban after hunting for collaborators with the overthrown regime.

General Haji Mullah Achakzai was a sworn enemy of the Taliban and had fought against them for many years.
The governor and police chief of Laghman Province near Jalalabad in Eastern Afghanistan were also reportedly arrested.
