A 27-year-old man identified as Joseph Ekala has been arrested by the operatives of Nigerian police in Bayelsa over the murder of a 25-year-old Lady.
According to Vanguardngr.com, the ugly incident happened at Okaka area of the state.
The suspect is said to buried the deceased in a room after he strangled her to death with his hand.
Vanguard Newspaper also reported that the deceased Lady was a friend to the suspect’s younger sister.
Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO of the Bayelsa State Command, SP Asinim Butswat who paraded the suspect along with other criminals that were recently arrested across the state, said everything happened because of 50000 naira.
In his confession, Joseph Ekala said he regretted killing Esther. According to him he was angered at the manner in which the deceased was calling him a fraudster because of 50,000 naira. He also stated that the deceased Lady refused to understand with him despite pleading with her for sometime to pay the money and the additional interest she insisted.
He also confessed that he took the decision to bury her in a room so that nobody would find out.
