

In the early hours of Friday, unidentified gunmen reportedly stormed LGEA Primary School, Alwaza, in the Alwaza community, Doma LGA, of Nasarawa State, and kidnapped numerous schoolchildren from the vicinity.
During the time that the children were expected to report to school, the abductors, who took away an unknown number of primary school students, reportedly set fire to the establishment.
At the time this report was completed, it was unknown where the students and their abductors were.
When contacted, DSP Rahman Nansel, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Nasarawa state command, confirmed the incident.
The Police Command says that a team of police, military, and vigilantes has been put together and is on the lookout for the kidnappers, who are said to be riding motorcycles.
