Reporters has learned that the 18 registered political parties in Nigeria have submitted approximately 1,575,689 agents to represent their interests at the various polling units across the country in advance of the general election in February or March.
Nigeria has 176,846 polling places, but only the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, the main opposition party, and the Labour Party LP appear to have representatives in more than 95% of the polling places.
